Couch Potato: I Hate Luv Storys

You know I’m not perfect. My name is not even perfect. I am stupid. But if you are with me, then my first and last love story will be perfect.

Lately I’m having this strange addiction with Bollywood movies. After watching the Hindi movie titled 3 Idiots starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, I ended up searching for more Bollywood movies – preferably under the romantic comedy genre. And then, while I was looking at the list of top grossing Bollywood movies, I came across this particular movie with a very intriguing title – I Hate Luv Storys. Well, bukod sa wrong spelling yung “Luv” at “Storys”, medyo na-puzzle lang ako sa title nung movie. I mean, who would hate love stories? Well maybe for a hopeless romantic like me it is impossible to hate love stories, but why hate love stories? And so I went on YouTube to watch the trailer of the film. Here it is:

At first I was like “What the f*** is this?” I mean, hindi ko man lang maintindihan kung anong pinagsasabi nila maliban lang sa mga kaunting english words. Pero catchy talaga yung trailer and I think the main characters are LOVELY! Kahit hindi ko siya gaanong naintindihan, the story looked very interesting. And so I downloaded the whole movie and all I can say is… this movie made me fall in love with Bollywood movies even more!

Meet J (played by Imran Khan). A happy-go-lucky playboy who does not believe in the magic of love and happy endings. According to him, in his film there are only one or two meetings and then… end titles. Which means, he does not believe in long term relationships.

But guess what, he works as an assistant director for Veer, an award-winning director who is popular for his “love story”-themed movies. How ironic right? Hahaha! Kaya naman kahit sukang-suka siya sa love story, he had no choice because it’s his bread and butter and because basically, his dream of becoming a director lies on his apprenticeship with Veer.

However, his views on life, love, and relationships started to change when he saw Simran (played by Sonam Kapoor).

J and Simran are basically the exact opposite of one another. If J hated love stories, Simran LOVED it. Actually, she considers her own lovelife as a perfect love story. She had a perfect family, a perfect career (as one of Bollywood’s art directors), and a perfect boyfriend (Raj). Everything is just perfect… until she met J.

So basically the lives of J and Simran turned into a hodge-podge as they constantly bumped into each other while working for a particular love story movie directed by Veer. Will they end up hating each other or will they eventually find in each other the true meaning of love? 🙂

Honestly, what really lured me to watch this movie is the physical appearance of the main characters, J and Simran. I mean, look at them. They are both eye-candies – they are just so perfect, hahaha!!! My personal favorite is Jab Mila Tu. Here it is:

I highly recommed this 2010 film, “I Hate Luv Storys” and I tell you… after watching this film, you’ll never ever think of hating love stories. 🙂

Happy Birthday Ms. Sonia Francesca!

Today is a very special day. Wanna know why? ‘Coz it’s the birthday of my favorite PHR writer, Ms. Sonia Francescs (Ms. Cherie Rosales). So I wanna dedicate this post to her. I already wished her a happy happy birthday on her wall in Facebook. Words will be very insufficient how her novels brightened up my life for the past 5 years. Sana ay magtuloy-tuloy na ang pag-publish ng mga new independent novels and series ni Ms. Sonia Francesca for the latter part of 2011 and of course, for the year 2012. Paano ba naman, palaging out of stock agad kapag may new release siya, hehehe!

To Ate Che, Happy Happy Birthday to the Nth power! I wish you good health, a more colorful lovelife, and a more fruitful 2012. May you have more brithdays to come and more hunky SRC fafa to write about, hehehe! 😀

This is me before reading SF novels:

New Release!: The Billionaire’s Contract Wife

Annyeong! May new release na namang novel si Ms. Sonia Francesca but this time it is a translated novel under PHR presents Harlequin Mills & Boon and under her other pen name – Sumire Villegas. So, kindly grab your copies now! 😉

Here’s the teaser:

The Billionaire’s Contract Wife
By Penny Jordan translated by Sumire Villegas (aka Sonia Francesca)

“You’ve changed me… And I need you to help me understand the person I’ve become. I need you to show me how to be the man you want me to be.”

And he wanted full compensation for it.

Sabi nga nila, “It’s better late than never.” Kaya naman kahit medyo late na, ibabalita ko pa rin ang mga mabubuting balitang ito regarding the progress of the reprinted copies of Ms. Sonia Francesca’s novels.

Number 1. *sigh*

It’s superkaduper out now in the market so go grab your copies now para sa mga wala pa at para sa mga katulad kong kahit na may copy na ay bumili pa rin just to support my beloved writers (ganyan ang praning, ahahaha!). 😉

Stallion Revisited Book 2: Ruki Takizawa

Anyway, I saw this on SRC: Revisited by (Sonia Francesca) Facebook Fanpage. According to the admin of the fanpage, tomorrow will be the official release of the second book. As in BUKAS NA!!!! KYAAAA!!!! Party party! Oh but before that, here’s the teaser and the teaser pic of Ruki my loves. ENJOY! 🙂

Stallion Revisited Book 2: Ruki Takizawa

So Chi had to go all the way to that snow-filled country, endure the feaking cold, and the freaking coldness of Ruki himself. It was obvious he didn’t want her. And was frank enough to tell to her face that he doesn’t want anything to do with her or her country.

In fact, he could be sweet…when he’s in the mood.

P.S.: By the way, the handsome cover was inspired by a member of Gazette (a visual kei band), Ruki. Why a Gazette member? Simply because Ms. Sonia Francesca LOVES Gazette, kekeke! 😉
